Abstract
With the increasing implementation of networked
mission-critical applications, an enterprise network is becoming the
lifeline of an organization. Massive investments are being made in the
modernization of enterprise networks of diverse service organizations,
such as telecommunications and health-care providers. Organizations need
to adapt to changing business environment, such as the deregulation of
telecommunication services. This necessitates a seamless integration of
business management processes with enterprise network management
processes. Hence there is a need for the formulation of new
methodologies for the re-engineering of management solutions (with focus
on integrated business processes), though most present day solutions
concentrate on the management of network equipment only. This paper
presents a new methodology for the re-engineering of the management
processes for enterprise networks, based on Computer Supported
Cooperative Work (CSCW) techniques.
