JOURNAL OF NETWORK AND SYSTEMS MANAGEMENT 

	  Special Issue on
	  
Telecommunications Information Networking Architecture (TINA)





The introduction of broadband technology, advances in distributed
processing technology, and deregulation of the telecommunication business
are the bases for expecting a tremendous growth in the number and types of
services: multimedia services, involving multiple parties, and in a
multi-vendor environment. In this situation, the problem of managing these
services, and the infrastructure (networks and distributed processing 
systems) becomes crucial. 

This special issue is centered around TINA, an architecture that
is being defined by the TINA Consortium with the purpose of providing a
framework to discuss these issues. The scope includes, but is not limited
to, the following topics:

        - Service Management
	- Composition and deployment of management applications
        - Integration of management systems
        - Object Distributed Management Architectures
        - Distributed supprot for Management applications (DPEs)
        - Service creation
        - Service Subscription and Access management
        - Service interaction management
        - Reports on prototypes, field trials and world-wide demonstrations



Instructions to Authors: Authors are requested to send four copies of their
manuscripts, not exceeding 20 double-spaced type-written pages, with
figures used sparingly, to:
