Abstract
This paper presents our methodological approach for the realization of
our S.A.R.I. Object Oriented High Speed Multi-Network
Simulator/Demonstrator composed of interconnected heterogeneous high speed
subnetworks (ATM , DQDB , FDDI ). The goal of the S.A.R.I. Simulator is to
perform the functional behavior of the high speed protocols and their
interconnections. The objective of the S.A.R.I. Demonstrator is to show the
feasibility of the management of the S.A.R.I. Simulator. The concepts
behind the demonstrator are a logical layered management architecture to
partition the multi-network management activity and an abstract network
management information model that represents the network resources by data
in a unified and integrated way.
